Summary of Civilization: The Mochica lived in many cities.They had many great warriors who fought with intellingence. The Mochica lived between 100 AD and 800 AD in Peru. The Mochica mysteriously disappeared one day. Recently a Mochica leader was found with many artifacts. He was named The Great Lord of Spian. Also it contained a priceeless treasure hoard and a gold mask and pendants. Their civilazation lasted about one thousand years. The Mochicas spoke Chimuan language.
Geography: The Mochica lived in river valleys between the mountains of Peru. They also may have lived in the Andes Mountain. They call this place Moche valley. The Moche valley was located on the north caost of Peru.
Climate: The Mochicas had to live in a very harsh climate. The mountains they lived between made a mixed tropical climate. Sometimes it was boiling hot and sometimes at was freezing cold. Where the Mochicas lived, they got two ocean current which game them numerous tempitures, weather, and clouds. Art and Architecture: The Mochica made many pieces of artwork out of copper, gold, and silver. The also made flat-topped pyramids, stone courtyards, and plazas. Water jars have been found by archaeologist, and they have beautiful paintings of people, aimals, and gold. Some of these paintings represent the ceromonies and the religion that the tribe held. They built temples made out of stone and brick which helped keep their intruders from getting in.

The Mochicas had sacrifice cerimonies. The Mochicas were worriors that had highly developed fighting skills which helped them survive in the winter. They adored deer for sybolic, cloths, and food.
Technology (Farming, hunting?): The Mochicas were farmers. They used water to irrigate their crops. The Mochicas grew maize, beans, and squash, and they were also very skilled fishermen. Mochicas were also very skilled goldman. The mochicas left behind ceramic vessels, woven textures, and muruls. Evidence also says that they were beautiful weavers. Some of the Mochicas made long narrow spears to hunt their prey. They used these tool especially during the winter.
